The AGGREGATE function will ignore nested SUBTOTAL and AGGREGATE functions when making calculations.
SUBTOTAL function only has 11 functions, whereas the AGGREGATE has 19 plus options to ignore errors, hidden rows and nested Subtotal or AGGREGATE functions.
